Peter will be performing a new work Hypertension (I'm over here, why can't you see me) at Emergency (Word of Warning).
The twentieth Emergency takes place on Saturday 21 September 2019 at two sites in Manchester’s Hulme: NIAMOS during the daytime, and Z-arts including the STUN Studio during the evening.
Hypertension (I'm over here, why can't you see me)
As someone in their late-50s who loved clubbing and dancing since the 1980s but can barely muster the energy now - let alone those now-forsaken ambitions to be a gogo boy - Hypertension (I'm over here, why can't you see me) considers thoughts of ageing, loneliness, risk, visibility, social erasure, nostalgia and lost youth.
“It would be too easy to say that I feel invisible. Instead, I feel painfully visible, and entirely ignored.” (David Levithan)
